Hi, I'm Christine, a poet, flash fiction writer, digital collage artist, and holder of a BA in Film and an MFA in Creative Writing. I am also the owner of Christine Tierney Coaching, an online coaching practice where I help people build confidence and create positive change with heart, hope, and humor.

 

These days, I spend my time writing, making art, coaching, and doting on my ridiculously adorable son, I mean kitty, Rufus. I also share my life with my very cool husband and my transplanted kidney, Rosa Ruby, a name I chose while heavily medicated after transplant surgery, a decision I fully stand by.

 

I came to art and writing through a winding path that has included film, hairdressing, nonprofit arts education, coaching, chronic illness, grief, joy, a healthy sense of humor, and more self-help books than any one person could reasonably justify owning.

 

I am endlessly curious about people, emotional truths, and the strange, beautiful ways we make meaning from our lives. Whether I'm writing a poem, building a digital collage, or working with a coaching client, I'm interested in connection, honesty, humor, and the things we don't always know how to say out loud.

 

I am the author of chicken+lowercase=fleur (Lily Poetry Review Books) and am fortunate to have had my work appear in a variety of literary journals.
